Restoring Grampa's Guitar

On the home stretch! I'll inset a couple of pearl dots to hide the screw holes from the last repair, make a saddle and nut and touch up the finish with french polish.
A little Hot Stuff glue holds the dot in place.
Final shaving of the bridge
Pearl dots are much more attractive than bolt heads, painted white!
Time to string her up. I'm using silk and steel strings, as they are very low tension and I believe this guitar was originally meant to have gut strings.
Check in next time for the final pictures and an mp3 of the new sound of an old guitar.
