Larson Cloud Pickguard

Here is the sketch and the actual inlay of the "cloud" pickguard I've made for the Larson/Schoenberg that I'm working on. The flower is a snowdrop (galanthus nivalis), thought to have been brought to Great Britain by the Romans. It has an active substance, galantamine which can be helpful in treating Alzheimers disease.

"Snowdrop" is the subtitle of the piano piece "April" in the piano cycle "The Seasons", by Tchaikovsky and is the title of a short story by Hans Christian Andersen which follows the life of a snowdrop from a sprouting bulb to a flower picked and pressed in a book of poetry.
